Belknap is a native of Damariscotta, Maine. She is a daughter of David Belknap, and Louise Belknap. She was a student at Lincoln Academy at Newcastle Maine. The actress became interested in acting while attending Middlebury College, Vermont. The next place she visited was The American Conservatory Theater where she received a Master of Fine Arts. Belknap is a regular on a range of shows on TV, including Medical Investigations (related to ER & Third Watch) & The Handler. In her role, she also appeared as a guest on Law & Order Law & Special Victims of the Order, Without a Trace, Deadline as well as recurring on Deadline. Belknap was a part of Alchemy as well as her debut feature film came in the form of The Reality Trap.
